Evening Babysitter · from USD 85
Saturday evening, two children, 18:45 to 23:30
Dublin. A vetted carer, the instructions she actually has, and who may collect the children.
Niamh Gallagher arrives at 18:45, fifteen minutes before you leave, which is deliberate. She has Saoirse's allergy on her phone and on paper. Clause 04 is the handover rule and it is absolute.
Niamh Gallagher, Saturday 11 October, 18:45 to 23:30. Garda vetted, two references taken, paediatric first aid current to March 2028. She has worked with your family twice before. Saoirse's peanut allergy and the location of her adrenaline pen are in her brief and will be confirmed in person at handover.

The carer
What was verified, and when
| Check | Status | Dated |
|---|---|---|
| Identity, photographic | Verified | March 2026 |
| Garda vetting | Current | January 2026 |
| References, two, both contacted | Verified | March 2026 |
| Paediatric first aid | Current | To March 2028 |
| Safeguarding training | Complete | Annual, last June 2026 |
| Public liability insurance | In force | To July 2027 |
| Previous bookings with this family | Two, both without issue | May and August 2026 |
Vetting is re-run every two years and training annually. A carer whose vetting lapses stops receiving bookings on the day it lapses, not at the end of the month.
Instructions
What Niamh has been told
| Item | As you gave it |
|---|---|
| Bedtime | Cillian 19:30, Saoirse 20:30. Story for both |
| Supper | Already eaten. Milk for Cillian at 19:15 |
| Screens | None after you leave. Saoirse will ask |
| Comfort | Cillian has a grey rabbit. It is on his bed. Do not lose it |
| Night waking | Cillian sometimes wakes about 21:00. Settle in the room, do not bring him down |
| Saoirse | Will try to stay up. Firm is fine, she is used to it |
| House | Alarm not set. Back door key on the hook. Dog is in the kitchen overnight |
| If you need us | Both mobiles, and Órla's mother two streets away as the local contact |
Niamh has this on her phone and will confirm the important parts with you in person at 18:45. The fifteen minute overlap exists for exactly that and is not a formality.
The allergy
Saoirse, peanut, and what happens
| Situation | What Niamh does |
|---|---|
| Any suspected reaction | Adrenaline pen, then 112, then you. In that order |
| Uncertain whether it is a reaction | Pen and 112 anyway. She has been told not to hesitate |
| After using the pen | Ambulance always, even if Saoirse seems fine |
| Any other medical concern | 112 or the out of hours service, then you, then our line |
| A minor injury | First aid, then tells you on your return and the same evening by message |
ChildCircle does not hold medical information beyond what is needed for the booking, and this is deleted 30 days afterwards. The instruction to use the pen rather than wait comes from standard paediatric first aid guidance, not from us.
Handover
The two absolute rules
- Niamh will text you when both children are asleep, and not before
- She will not post anything about the evening anywhere, which is a condition of her engagement
- She takes no photographs of your children for any purpose
- If she is uncomfortable about anything she calls the escalation line rather than deciding alone
- Any incident, however small, is logged and you are told the same evening
