Both bikes are sized and ready from 09:00. The one thing worth two minutes of your attention is clause 02: how you lock them decides whether a stolen bike costs you nothing or USD 320.
Two city bikes, step-through, frames 8814 and 8817, out from 09:00 Wednesday 7 October and back by 20:00 the same day. Both locks and a route map are included. Theft is covered only if the frame is locked to a fixed object with the supplied lock.

Locking
The rule that decides who pays
Amsterdam has more bicycle theft than anywhere else you have been. The bikes are insured, and the cover has exactly one condition.

Frame to a fixed object means the chain passes through the frame and around a rack, a post or a rail. The built-in wheel lock is not enough on its own and never has been, though half of Amsterdam uses it that way.
On the day
Returns, breakdowns and lateness
- Puncture or mechanical fault: call the number on the repair card. Someone comes to you within the ring, free
- Lights must be on after dark. It is enforced here and the fine is yours, not ours
- Back by 20:00. After that it is a second day at USD 24 a bike, charged the next morning
- If you are running late, call. The shop will usually hold the return to the morning at no charge
- Return to the same shop. There is no second drop-off point
