What the customer receives

LiveNote example booking confirmation

This Organization does not sell a report. What you keep is the booking and the rider: who is playing, what they will play, what the venue must provide and what happens if the singer loses her voice.

A complete sample confirmation, written the way LiveNote writes one. The customer, the dates and the amounts are illustrative, and nothing here was charged or reserved.

Ella plays the ceremony and the drinks reception. Two things need you before April: the third song you requested is not one she can do justice to solo, and your venue has a sound limiter that nobody has told us the setting of.

Confirmed, two things to settle by April

Ella Brennan, solo voice and guitar, Saturday 6 June 2027. Ceremony set 14:00, drinks set 15:30 to 16:30. Two of your three song requests are confirmed and learned. The third needs a conversation. The venue's sound limiter setting must be confirmed by 6 April because it decides whether she can play acoustically at all.

Three requests, and the one that does not work

SongForStatus

Bohemian Rhapsody Recessional Flagged. See below
  • Confirm the recessional by 6 April so she has time to arrange it
  • Send any do not play list. Most couples have one and forget to mention it
  • Decide whether you want her to sing during the drinks or play instrumentally so people can talk
  • Tell us if anyone is making a speech in her sets, because she will stop

The venue

The limiter question, and why it matters more than it sounds

Your venue has a sound limiter. Nobody on your side or ours yet knows what it is set to, and for an acoustic act that is the difference between a normal afternoon and an unusable one.

Limiter settingWhat it means for a solo acoustic act
No limiter, or above 95 dB No issue at all
90 to 95 dB Fine. She plays well within it
85 to 90 dB Workable. She sets the PA lower and it is quieter but fine
Below 85 dB A single voice and an acoustic guitar can trip it. Applause alone can trip it

Below 85 dB the limiter cuts the power, which means the PA and sometimes the venue lighting go off mid song and take 30 seconds to reset. It is not a volume problem, it is a power cut problem, and it is unrecoverable in the middle of a processional.

If she cannot sing

Substitution, for a singer

A guitarist with a broken finger can be deputised. A singer who has lost her voice cannot be replaced by someone who sounds the same, and pretending otherwise is how couples get a stranger at their ceremony.

SituationWhat we doWhat you get
Ella is unwell more than 7 days out Offer Joss Whitaker, named deputy, with footage Accept, or full refund
Ella is unwell inside 7 days Joss if he is free, otherwise we say so honestly Accept, or full refund
Nobody suitable is available We tell you as early as we know Full refund, and help finding someone
You do not want the deputy Nothing further from us Full refund
Voice goes on the day itself She plays instrumentally, and we refund the vocal element Partial refund, USD 180
You postpone the wedding Fee held against a new date for 18 months No loss

Joss Whitaker's footage is in your pack today rather than being produced in a crisis. He is a different singer, not a copy, and the honest position is that you should watch him now and tell us if he is not acceptable.
