What the customer receives

PourHouse example booking confirmation

This Organization does not sell a report. What you keep is the service plan: who is coming, what they will and will not do, how much stock you actually need, and where our responsibility for the drink ends.

A complete sample confirmation, written the way PourHouse writes one. The customer, the dates and the amounts are illustrative, and nothing here was charged or reserved.

You booked staff only, which means you buy and supply everything and Hamid pours it. That is the cheapest way to do this and it puts the responsibility for the alcohol entirely on you. Clause 03 says exactly what that means, and clause 02 tells you how much to buy.

Confirmed, and one bartender is tight for 60

Hamid Qureshi, one bartender, Friday 13 November, 17:00 setup for 18:00 to 23:00 service. One bartender comfortably serves 40 guests. At 60 with a welcome drink you will have a queue in the first 40 minutes. A second bartender is USD 260 and would remove it.

The staffing

Why one is tight and what it looks like

MomentWith 1 bartenderWith 2
18:00 to 18:40, welcome drinks A queue. 60 people arriving in 30 minutes No queue
18:40 to 20:00 Fine Fine
20:00 to 21:00, after the meal Busy but manageable Comfortable
21:00 to 23:00 Fine Fine
Breaks The bar closes for 15 minutes Staggered, bar stays open
Clearing glasses Not done. He is behind the bar Occasionally

This is a recommendation and not a condition. One bartender for 60 guests works and the evening will be fine. The queue is at the start, it lasts about 40 minutes, and it is the first impression your guests get. Two thirds of customers who read this table add the second bartender.

02

The stock

What to buy, for 60 over five hours

ItemQuantityNote
Gin 4 bottles, 700 ml Two of your signature cocktails are gin based
Vodka 3 bottles Always more than you think
Whisky 2 bottles Slow at a mixed party, but the people who want it, want it
Rum, white 2 bottles One signature cocktail
Sparkling wine 12 bottles Welcome drink plus toasts, 6 glasses per bottle
Red and white wine 10 and 12 bottles Skewed to white at this time of year
Beer 48 bottles Chilled. Assume a third of guests drink only this
Tonic and soda 60 and 30 bottles 200 ml. This is the thing people under buy
Juices, mixers 8 litres Orange, cranberry, lime cordial
Soft drinks and water Generous At least 30 percent of guests drink nothing else
Ice 40 kg Not 10 kg. This is the second thing people under buy
Garnish 12 limes, 8 lemons, mint, olives Fresh, that morning

Calculated for 60 guests over 5 hours at Dubai consumption rates for a private residence event, with a welcome drink. Buy where returns are possible on unopened bottles. Almost every host over buys spirits and under buys ice, tonic and soft drinks.
