StoreSafe example storage record

This Organization does not sell a report. What you keep is the record: what was collected, what is in the unit, what we would not take and why, and how you get it back.

A complete sample confirmation, written the way StoreSafe writes one. The customer, the dates and the amounts are illustrative, and nothing here was charged or reserved.

Collected from your apartment at 10:15, 34 items into unit D-212. Four things did not come: two are prohibited and two are worth more than the cover. Clause 02 says what to do with them.

Stored, with four items left with you

Medium unit D-212, 10 m², 34 items collected and racked on 1 October. A paint tin and a camping gas canister were refused as prohibited. A laptop and a jewellery box were declined because the standard cover is USD 2,000 per unit and both should be insured separately or kept with you.

01

Collected

What is in the unit

CategoryItemsCondition at collection
Boxed, labelled by you 18 Sealed, not opened by us, contents as you described
Furniture, flat 4 Dining table top, two bed bases, headboard. Blanketed
Furniture, assembled 5 Two armchairs, bookcase, two side tables. Wrapped
Appliances 2 Microwave and a fan. Not plumbed items
Rugs, rolled 3 Wrapped and labelled
Artwork, framed 2 Corner protected, stored upright
Total 34 Photographed on the truck and again in the unit

Boxes you packed are recorded as boxes, not by contents. We do not open them and the record says what you wrote on them, which means the description of what is inside is yours rather than ours.

02

Refused

The four that stayed with you

ItemReasonWhat to do
Paint tin, part used Prohibited. Flammable Municipal hazardous waste point. Free
Camping gas canister Prohibited. Pressurised Same, or return it to a dealer
Laptop Declined. Value and data Keep it with you, or insure separately
Jewellery box Declined. Above the cover Bank deposit box, not a storage unit

The first two are a hard refusal and the crew does not negotiate them: one flammable item in a racked warehouse is a risk to two hundred other units. The second two are advice rather than a rule, and if you insist they can be stored under a declared-value arrangement with additional premium.

Also never accepted
Anything living, including plants No exceptions
Food, open or sealed Pest risk in a shared warehouse
Fuel, solvents, aerosols, batteries loose Flammable or reactive
Firearms and ammunition Not permitted
Anything illegal to possess Reported if found
Documents you may urgently need Access is 07:00 to 21:00, not 24 hours
03

Cover

What USD 2,000 actually means

StandardDeclared value
Cover per unit USD 2,000 total Up to USD 50,000
Cost Included USD 9 per USD 1,000 per month
Covers fire, flood, theft Yes Yes
Covers items in boxes you packed Yes, to the limit Yes, if itemised
Covers high value items No, and they should be declared Yes, if declared
Requires an itemised list No Yes

USD 2,000 across 34 items including furniture and artwork is not a lot. Most customers never think about it and most never need to. If the two framed pieces are worth more than a few hundred dollars between them, a declared value arrangement is worth the USD 18 a month.
