Creator Shortlist · USD 79
Seven creators, and the biggest one is the worst fit
Matched on where the audience actually is, not on how many of them there are.
You can only ship to the UK until March. The creator at the top of your list has 780,000 followers and 71 percent of them are in North America, which means you would be paying for reach you cannot sell to. This shortlist ranks on addressable audience instead of total audience, and the order changes completely.
Ranked by UK audience rather than total audience, your preferred creator drops from first to sixth. Three creators with a tenth of the followers deliver more reachable people per dollar, and two of them already post the exact use case your product is for.
The brief
What the campaign has to do
| Element | As briefed | Implication for matching |
|---|---|---|
| Objective | First 1,000 orders | Conversion, not awareness. Changes who fits |
| Territory | UK only until March | The binding constraint |
| Product | Ultralight two person tent, USD 340 | Considered purchase. Needs demonstration, not a mention |
| Audience | Weekend hikers, 25 to 45, not expedition | Rules out the technical mountaineering end |
| Budget | USD 18,000 total | Three to six creators, not one |
| Format | Open | Long form beats short form for a USD 340 considered buy |
| Timing | Content live from 2 November | Four weeks. Tight but workable |
Reach
Total audience against audience you can sell to
Rates are the creators' published or quoted fees for one long-form piece plus two short. Cost per thousand is a planning comparison, not a performance prediction: engagement and intent matter more than either number on this list.
Fit
Beyond the numbers
| Use case match | Format | Has shown a tent | Brand safety | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creator C | Exact | Long form | Regularly | Clean |
| Creator D | Exact | Long form | Regularly | Clean |
| Creator G | Exact | Long form | Weekly | Clean |
| Creator E | Adjacent | Short form | Rarely | Clean |
| Creator A | Adjacent | Short form | Once | Verify, section 04 |
| Creator B | Expedition | Long form | Regularly | Clean |
| Creator F | Lifestyle | Short form | No | Clean |
Creator B is an excellent creator for a different product. Expedition content sells robustness and weight tolerance; your tent is ultralight for weekend use, which is close enough to look right and far enough to convert badly.
C, D and G, roughly USD 14,200
Three creators, all exact use case, all long form, combined addressable UK audience of about 206,000. Leaves USD 3,800 for a second round with whichever performs.
Creator E, USD 2,600
Adjacent rather than exact, but 84 percent UK and the highest short-form engagement here. A useful control against the three long-form picks.
Creator A, USD 16,400
Would consume 91 percent of your budget to reach an audience that is 71 percent unshippable. Revisit in March when you open North America, when they become the obvious first call.

What to check before you contract
- Ask each creator directly for their own audience geography screenshot
- Ask what other gear brands they have worked with in the last 6 months
- Creator A: one older post may conflict with a competitor. Ask, do not assume
- Confirm they will disclose the partnership properly under UK advertising rules
- Agree usage rights: how long can you reuse the content, and where
- Agree what happens if the content underperforms. Most contracts say nothing
- Confirm delivery dates against your 2 November go live
- Check none of the three recommended have a competitor deal running in November
