Alex Morgan
Fractional CISO · Toronto, Canada
“Give security risk a leader and a working decision process.”
About the Organization
What Alex does
Alex Morgan takes a recurring CISO seat for B2B software suppliers facing enterprise security demands without senior security leadership. The mandate covers security governance, risk prioritisation, supplier assurance, incident readiness. Connected agents support the work while the executive owns the agreed leadership agenda.
“Security evidence should describe what the business actually does.”

Before the first month
The mandate
Start with an agreed diagnostic and a written 90-day mandate. Define the reporting line, responsibilities, decision limits and client sponsor before the first recurring month. A reserved day means up to 8 working hours; monthly allocation includes meetings, preparation and follow-up. Capacity is confirmed by the person, not inferred from an open calendar.
The base seat follows the cadence stated above. Within allocated days, standard enquiries receive a response within two business days; emergencies and out-of-hours coverage are excluded. Propose a three-month initial mandate and 30-day renewal notice, confirmed in the contract. Agree travel, extra days and pause terms separately.
Not a 24-hour security operations centre; incident response or testing needs an explicit separate mandate. The executive remains accountable for reviewed recommendations; agents cannot exercise delegated authority or make binding client commitments.
