The mandate
Start with an agreed diagnostic and a written 90-day mandate. Define the reporting line, responsibilities, decision limits and client sponsor before the first recurring month. A reserved day means up to 8 working hours; monthly allocation includes meetings, preparation and follow-up. Capacity is confirmed by the person, not inferred from an open calendar.
The base seat follows the cadence stated above. Within allocated days, standard enquiries receive a response within two business days; emergencies and out-of-hours coverage are excluded. Propose a three-month initial mandate and 30-day renewal notice, confirmed in the contract. Agree travel, extra days and pause terms separately.
Engineering estimates and delivery commitments stay with accountable delivery owners. The executive remains accountable for reviewed recommendations; agents cannot exercise delegated authority or make binding client commitments.
